Background

After 40 years of combined experience in the food and beverage industry, and after toiling in some of Toronto's finest restaurants, sisters Emanuela and Gina Caires realised how little people actually knew about the myths, legends, etiquette and science of what they love to do most - eat and drink.

This observation lead them to a new passion - their latest and most exciting endeavor yet - the creation of the first and only trivia board game about the world of food and the world of drink. Their compilation of culinary discoveries will enlighten, challenge and entertain everyone at your gathering!

The Game

The object of the game is to correctly answer trivia questions about the world of gastronomy. The winner is the first person or team to accumulate 15 points (Fast Food version) or 25 points (Gourmet version) and to correctly guess the name of a classic recipe.

Contents

Included are 250 purple trivia cards, containing 6 questions each, 50 yellow recipe cards, one die, a cherry tree score pad and a pencil.

The questions are valued as follows:

Gameplay

The game can be played by two people or by two teams of multiple people. If a player answers the question correctly, they win the cherry(ies) shown next to the answer, and advance on the cherry tree.

Final Challenge

Once a Player has reached a minimum score of 15 or 25 points they move to the recipe challenge. In this round the Player has to guess the correct name of a classic recipe, after being read the recipe’s ingredients and cooking method.

If the recipe name is guessed correctly, the Player wins the game; if not, the Player loses their turn.
